HALF A CENTURY OF DEVELOPING TALENT
ALECOP is a company of the MONDRAGON Corporation, a leader in the development of educational projects and didactic equipment in the Spanish market.
It is the result of experience starting in the early 60s by Don José María Arizmendiarrieta, founder of the cooperative movement MONDRAGON, in response to the need of people with the necessary training to meet the real demands of both society as the production system and services.
Focused in the beginning to work and training, currently ALECOP activity is much broader, comprising training services, the development of cabling systems and the design and manufacture of didactic equipment.
In ALECOP, we contribute to the results of the organizations through training and talent development solutions.

1966
ALECOP is constituted, with the primary purpose of providing training alternation work / study to students of the 3 educational cooperatives in the area, which currently constitute 3 of the 4 faculties of the University. Its mission is aimed at developing projects and solutions for employability in socioeconomic development and prosperity through the development of human capital.

1980
ALECOP starts activity in design and manufacture of equipment for technical training for vocational training centers as well.


1989
ALECOP goes internationally to position itself as a major international service and equipment provider in the field of vocational training, including training of trainers, management training, curriculum design and development, development of educational materials, etc.

1991
ALECOP is the 29th Spanish company to get the certificate UNE -EN ISO 9001 quality management system for the activities of design, development , production, installation , after sales service and product marketing for educational purposes.



1997
ALECOP’s first project was leading a consortium to develop a complex project of vocational training and transference, offering the following services: training of trainers, management training, curriculum development, development of training materials, equipment integration, model R & D transfer, transfer model entrepreneurship and business incubator.

2008
ALECOP becomes shareholder of a relevant university in Latin America, (Unipanamericana) to implement best practices and knowledge transfer based on the MONDRAGON model.

2010
Constitution of Mondragon Educación Internacional S.A. (MEI), a Joint Venture between MONDRAGON University and ALECOP. MEI's mission is the international growth of the network of Centres for Technical and Vocational Training and Universities as well.

2011
ALECOP signed the first contract Public Private Partnership PPP in Morocco for managing IFMIA Training Centre (Institut de Formation aux Meties of l'Automobile) in Kenitra, to provide training to the multinational automotive companies established in Morocco.

2013
Mondragon International Education S.A. entered the share capital in a Mexican University based Queretaro renamed MONDRAGON-UCO.

2013
Mondragon International Education S.A. becomes one of 5 world experts getting a PPP contract for the management of a Centre of Excellence for Technical and Vocational Training in Muhayil Assir, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

2014
MONDRAGON Educacion Internacional S.A. repeats the success in Saudi Arabia, getting a contract to manage three other schools of excellence in the region of Tabuk.

2015
ALECOP gets the seal Innovative SMEs issued by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of the Government of Spain.





2019
The President of MONDRAGON Corporation visits the CNC laboratory of the MONDRAGON Mexico University in Queretaro.

2020
CLOSING THE GAP is launched, our company support model that aims to transform people to accompany organizations in technological change.
