
On October 29 and 30, ALECOP took part in the National Meeting of Sustainable Development (ENADES) in Panama, held in the city of David and organized by the International Center for Sustainable Development (CIDES). ENADES PANAMA-2019 had the purpose of opening and energizing a multi-actor, multi-level and multi-disciplinary dialogue space, for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Panama, from a strategic vision applied to the needs of the country. ENADES has the purpose of fostering a synergistic, collaborative and continuous work among the participating actors based on co-responsibility and differentiation of their roles.
ALECOP participated in the Technical Education and Development session, whose challenge was to exchange education experiences for the culture of sustainability. The presentation of ALECOP dealt with “INADEH, Education and Technical and Vocational Training of Quality” and its framework in the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals, specifically in Objective 4, Quality Education. The presentation showed that in the alliance carried out between INADEH (Panama) and ALECOP for the relaunching projects of the Institution, the following goals of the aforementioned SDG have been worked on:
- By 2030, ensure equal access for all men and women to quality technical, professional and superior training, including university education.
- By 2030, substantially increase the number of young people and adults who have the necessary skills, particularly technical and professional skills, to access employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.
